Sweet life at the top

Since the 1930s, the area around Nová Myslivna has been one of Brno’s most popular locations, not only for its pleasant nature walks, but also its renowned restaurant. Later, Hotel Myslivna, designed by the architect Jan Dvořák, was built.

The location is closely associated with three important Brno artists: the poet Jiří Mahen and the writers Rudolf Těsnohlídek and Vladislav Vančura. It’s been said that these three friends planted a pine tree in the Pisárky Valley. The motif of this tree is an indelible part of the project’s visual identity.
